The 2027 Executive Security Operations Conference (ESOC) will be held at the luxurious Loews Portofino Bay Hotel located in Orlando, Florida, from June 15th to 17th in 2027.
Recognizing the demanding, high-pressure schedules of security professionals, the BEPP wanted to design an event experience that balances career growth with well-deserved personal time. We know that maintaining work-life balance in our industry can be tough, so we intentionally chose a venue located right next to Universal Studios and Universal CityWalk.
This gives attendees a unique opportunity to engage in high-level professional development while turning the trip into an unforgettable family getaway or a chance to unwind.
To further enhance convenience, we've continued with the conference schedule to run from Tuesday to Thursday.

Retired U.S. Ambassador Hugo Llorens
Professional Overview and Current Ventures
Hugo Llorens is a recently retired U.S. Ambassador with 36 years of distinguished diplomatic experience. Based in Marco Island, Florida, he currently provides international business and security consulting for U.S. and global firms navigating markets in Latin America, Europe, South Asia, and the Western Pacific. Leveraging his extensive global network and career expertise, he also works as a public speaker on leadership and foreign affairs while writing a book on his diplomatic career. Over his service, he earned numerous accolades, including eight Superior Honor Awards, six Meritorious Honor Awards, and the Cobb Award for excellence in promoting U.S. business.
Executive Leadership in Conflict and Crisis Management
Throughout his career, Ambassador Llorens held critical leadership roles in high-stakes environments. From 2016 to 2017, he served as Special Chargé d'Affaires and Chief of Mission in Kabul, leading the world’s largest U.S. Embassy with 8,500 personnel across 22 agencies, and helping shape the Trump administration's strategic approach to Afghanistan. Previously, as U.S. Ambassador to Honduras (2008–2011), he successfully navigated the 2009 Honduran political crisis by negotiating the Tegucigalpa-San Jose Accord, restoring democratic order, and overseeing a large diplomatic and economic development portfolio. His leadership tenure also includes serving as Assistant Chief of Mission in Kabul (2012–2013) during the negotiation of the Bilateral Security Agreement, and Deputy Chief of Mission postings in Madrid and Buenos Aires.
